The “Workshop Report on Atomic Bomb Dosimetry Review of Dose Related Factors for The Evaluation of Exposures to Residual Radiation at Hiroshima and Nagasaki,” a report authored by Dr. George D. Kerr and 28 international experts, appears in the December 2015 issue of Health Physics. The report covers a special half-day technical session and a day-and-a-half workshop on residual radiation exposures to the atomic bomb survivors at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. From RERF, Dr. Harry M. Cullings, Chief, Department of Statistics, and Dr. Eric J. Grant, Assistant Department Chief, Department of Epidemiology, attended the meeting, and their presentations are summarized in the workshop report. The session and workshop were organized by Dr. Isaf Al-Nabulsi of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) with special funding from DOE and were held during the 59th Annual Meeting of the Health Physics Society in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, July 13–17, 2014.
